Cost Management
Cost Management is a vital component of the overall project and construction management service.
Our Cost Management service compliments all of our other services, but is also available as a stand alone service.
Cost Management is a vital component of a Project Manager's role to keep close control of the capital costs, the project cash flow and for owner occupiers, the life cycle costs of the development.
Mascot have developed our own cost planning software which is easy to understand and to keep updated to incorporate brief and design changes. We can produce initial estimates based on sketches or detailed cost plans based on developed designs. We have a large cost data base to reference our rates.
Mascot undertake a wide range of procurement options ranging from simple design and build projects to multi million OJEU procured schemes for the public sector.
We undertake close control of costs during the construction phase adopting a change control system to enable cost and programme implications to be known before approval is given.
Cost Management is also an integral part of our due diligence services.
Our due diligence role is to review the project, the organisation and the process rather than controlling it, and report any concerns and risks to the investor together with proposals for mitigating the risks.
We will review all the contract documentation to ensure your investment is protected. We will visit the site regularly during the construction period to confirm the works are in compliance with the contract specifications and certify the interim and final payments.
